Exam Details
iMAO Junior will be organized in two levels. First level will be online and offline at selected centers and will be the qualifying exam for Advanced Level. You must score 85% or above in First Level to qualify for the Advanced Level.
Qualifying Level Exam Dates
North, East And West Zone- 16 – 30 November 2024
Central and South Zone – 01-10 December 2024
Please note that all dates displayed are tentative and subject to change until you receive your Admit Card. Once admit cards are issued to a zone, the dates will remain unchanged.
Live Portal
To help you prepare for the exam, within 48 hours of registration, you will be sent the login credentials to online portal of iMaven Astronomy, where you will be having access to online library of selected astronomy books, simulations, and videos.
Access to Live Portal will be provided free of cost to the participants of olympiad for the duration of olympiad. You may also participate in discussion forums of the olympiad.

Who is eligible to participate in the iMAO Junior category?
Students from Indian Schools belonging to Class 6, 7 and 8 in 2024 session are eligible to participate in iMaven Astronomy Olympiad in Junior category.
Is there a registration fee?
Yes. There is a nominal fee to participate in the olympiad. For 2024, participation fee in Junior Category is INR 150.
Access to live portal and relevant astronomy resources is free for registrants.
How do I register for the iMAO ?
Please visit registration page. You will be asked to fill a few details. Pay the registration fee online and your registration will be confirmed within 48 hours.
What will be the mode of Olympiad exam?
Exam will be organized online as a proctored exam on our dedicated exam portal using Safe Exam Browser.
What is the schedule of the exam?
