Discipline of Space Machines
Courses On Space Machines
Engineering the Tools of Exploration
Space Machines explores the engineering systems that make space exploration possible — from satellites and spacecraft design to propulsion, robotics, and mission architecture. The discipline focuses on how technology extends human presence beyond Earth.
At iMaven, Space Machines combines scientific understanding with engineering thinking. Learners explore how machines operate in extreme environments, how missions are planned, and how technology evolves alongside our exploration of the cosmos.
From basic spacecraft concepts to advanced mission systems, Space Machines offers a structured pathway into the technological frontier of space.

THE PATHWAY
To make space engineering accessible while maintaining academic rigor, the Space Machines Discipline offers a structured pathway of learning:
FOUNDATION LEVEL
- FSP100 & ESP100
- Designed for absolute beginners.
- Open to all, no prerequisites.
- Build curiosity, confidence, and baseline knowledge.
- Each course worth 2 ECTS | 1 US Credit
CERTIFICATE LEVEL
- A professional milestone for learners who complete the Foundation tier.
- Provides applied knowledge in human factors, space culture, and psychology of long-duration missions.
- Internationally benchmarked (23 ECTS / ~18 US credits).
- Credits fully transferable into the Advance Course.
ADVANCE LEVEL
- Our flagship credential.
- Covers applied space psychology, neuroscience, cross-cultural dynamics, and research methods.
- Culminates in a Capstone Project — a professional-quality output that prepares learners for advanced study or applied roles.
- Internationally benchmarked (36 ECTS / ~25 US credits).
The iMaven Approach
- Future-Focused: Our programs are designed with the long-term vision of supporting future collaborations with universities on an MSc in Space Psychology.
